Hybridisation of institutional logics and civil society organisations' advocacy in Kenya

Managerialist logic has become dominant in development policy and practice. However, recent years, the Dutch government is seeking to adopt social transformation approaches interventions. The implementation of ideas takes place an environment dominated by managerialism. our understanding how managerialism collide or come into conflict pathways through which managerialist principles dominate limited. Drawing on qualitative data from Strategic Partnerships (SP) Accountability Fund (AF) instruments for civil society organisations Kenya, we find that practice, underpinning SP AF ‘vaporise’ get lost during due wider aid system within they are embedded. We highlight implications broader attempts donor agencies shift towards a perspective development.
